Winter Fashion and Guessing Better: Tuesday 22nd November

Saitama Arts Theatre is closed for a couple of days, something to do (I think) with power saving measures, meaning that for the first time in well over a week I had a full day off. I celebrated this momentous event by wearing my favourite winter fashion combination of blue shorts with burgundy tights, as whilst work are pretty relaxed in regards to clothing, I would feel a little odd wearing tights in a theatre whilst working behind the scenes!

Spotted in Shibuya outside an Indian café: a posthumous attempt by Hergé to combat those racism allegations.

An unfortunate side effect of having the day off work was that I had to go to a JLPT revision class; normally the unsociable hours and distance of my work placement prevent me from doing so, but not tonight. To make matters worse we were due to receive the results of the recent JLPT N2 mock test, and I feared the worst when my teacher asked to meet 10 minutes before the lesson to discuss my reading ‘comprehension’. However, it turned out that she simply wanted to give me some excellent advice regarding the order in which to attempt the questions, and that incredibly I had only failed the mock test by 5%, meaning that all I need to do for the real thing (a week on Sunday) is to guess a little bit better!
