Getting Paid to Wear Dungarees and a Little Light Lifting: Thursday 8th March

It turns out that the modeling audition that I went to the other night was legit, and that further more I have been offered a photo shoot for ‘Grind’ fashion magazine off the back of it. I thus had to spend this evening trying on outfits and getting fitted for the shoot. This mostly consisted of being dressed in really nice clothing whilst being told how handsome I was, at one point I was even given some dungarees, after which it became very difficult to hide my obvious delight at the proceedings. In fact the only negative aspect of the evening was when they kept trying to fit Japanese size hats on my elephant man size head  The shoot should be taking place next Monday, and according to one of my fellow ‘models’ we should get paid ¥30000 (~£230) for our troubles; I genuinely cannot believe that I am getting paid to wear dungarees.

Goodbye old friend.

This evening I helped move my washing machine to a friend’s house, having offered my moving services as part of the package when I sold it to him. Amazingly the one a bit mile trek to his house passed without incident, and the thing was so light (around 20 kg) that it was really little bother at all. Unfortunately though, my friend had conspired to live on the fifth floor of his apartment block, and so by the time we got the beast out onto his balcony my muscles were involuntarily shaking from the effort. Still, there’s nothing like a bit of light lifting for exercise, and at least this is the last time this it need happen for a while… at least until I manage to sell the fridge.
